Book Review/Childhood Throwback ” Green Eggs & Ham” By: Dr. Seuss

tumblr_mk9ea5DOZZ1rrnekqo1_1280    I have mentioned before how this simple, children’s book will always be a favorite of mine. I have told you why I love this book but not in very much detail, that is why I wanted to do this post for you today.

” Green eggs & Ham”, is a wonderful book because of Dr. Seuss’ incredible rhythm  and word play skills. When I was growing up I began to fall in love with the beauty of the rhythm of words. Words thumped and pumped like hearts and could convey a certain pace through their arrangement. The concept of having eggs that were green with ham that was green made me love this book even more. I think Dr. Seuss is a staple for everyone childhood reading list but especially this book. If it had not been for my introduction to Dr. Seuss through this book I doubt my style of writing would be so poetic.

Thank you Dr. Seuss.

Thank you readers.

Let me know your Dr.Seuss thoughts below.
