Pri- at- me,

till I speak

explode with words

like the echo of waves crashing

against the shoreline of my thighs.

The veiled curtain

that grants us little privacy

pulled aside,

the surrender

of one to another

on freshly pressed sheets.

Love burns in lust’s fire,

the lace that keeps us apart.

Spark! The scream that escapes,

the body that trembles

in the privacy of our hearts…
